about

I present to you a more experimental collaboration, something that took me in some unexpected directions with my piano playing in an interesting concept as outlined in the below notes from Mike.

"This album has been an idea that I have had in my head since the first Covid shutdown. I met Scott through his own generosity on bandcamp. We had been chatting music for a little bit when I brought the idea for this album up to him. I originally had the idea of turning music into a walk to and from a mirror...as if you walked right up to it from a good distance, once you came up to it, literally walking backwards away from it. The funny thing about reflections is the unknown. Is it an image of you or a different side of you or a doorway somewhere else. Even if it resembles the same being in front of it, it is never exactly the same. We shot out to do the same with music. This project took on its' own form and became something that is a reflection of itself and still stood alone. I have to thank Scott for his help putting this together, there was help from another who respectively asked to be left a silent help. I still need to at least say thanks publicly because without all involved this wouldn't be what it is. I am quite proud of this and glad for all the assistance I have had putting this together."
