Faerytale Music As I started into the first song I felt inspired with creative energy. Listening all the way through was like embarking on an inner journey feeling safe and returning to my inner child. This album encourages positive introspection and desire to ascend beyond life's challenges. It is a perfect meditation tool or for simply calming the mind. This album is a beautiful reminder to still yourself. There is beauty all around us! Favorite track: All the Yearnings.

Shoshana Michel Show Me the Glint of Light is a collection of ambient compositions that are soothing, inspiring and contemplative. "Quieting the Mind", my favorite of all the tracks, instantly calmed and soothed me. My breathing slowed and I felt at peace. You can't ask for much more in ambient music. This album is definitely worth listening to! Favorite track: Quieting the Mind.

about

These 11 tracks were inspired by different Haiku poems and, in some cases, were submitted to the Naviar haiku project, a weekly challenge where artists are given a poem and then have seven days to compose a piece of music inspired by that haiku.
These compositions were inspired by haikus 065, 120, 049, 123, 010, 116, 078, 089, 031, 011 and 065 respectively and were recorded between June of 2015 and September of 2016.

This recording shows the amazing versatility of Scott Lawlor as a musician and a thinker. A lot of his material is dark, even noisy, and yet here is an album of celestial beauty that hearkens back to the vintage days of early new age/ambient.

Cosmic synth melodies abound over beatific textures in a set of pieces that can be traced back to the influence of Suzanne Ciani, Steve Roach, Vangelis, Jarre, Kitaro, and other new age pioneers, but like all great music, Lawlor’s music has a piece of his own soul in it — a distinct yearning for spiritual peace that sets his vision apart from others.

This is a stunning achievement and something every fan of the beautifully melodic end of ambient should and will enjoy.
